Background

Ireland is a nation of approximately 4.5 million people, with some 1.5 million residing in Dublin city and county. After decades of poverty and emigration, it has seen unprecedented economic growth since the 1990s, to the point where Ireland's citizens are now the wealthiest in Europe, and second wealthiest on Earth.

Though famous worldwide as an historic "land of saints and scholars" and as a beautiful contemporary tourist destination, Ireland has, to date, been largely overlooked as a destination for acclaimed international speakers, despite its recent prosperity. Many Irish delegates travel to the UK and further afield to attend talks and seminars delivered by speakers of international stature. In this context, we have been struck by the unmet demand for quality personal development events in the country. These observations, combined with our own passion for the field, formed the rationale for the development of Horizon Speakers & Seminars.
